Overview

Jason Houda is a registered patent attorney whose practice spans intellectual property and commercial litigation. With experience as both a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and as counsel in complex disputes, Jason brings a unique perspective to protecting and enforcing clients’ rights in today’s competitive business environment.


Jason advises clients on patent and trademark prosecution, licensing, and portfolio development, representing Fortune 100 corporations, startups, and emerging businesses in cutting-edge industries such as data processing, machine learning, and biomechanical engineering. His technical foundation in life sciences, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering enables him to address the most sophisticated issues at the intersection of technology and law.


In addition to his intellectual property work, Jason represents clients in commercial litigation and arbitration involving contract disputes, business torts, and intellectual property enforcement. He has successfully guided clients through high-stakes matters in federal and state courts, achieving favorable outcomes in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.


Jason earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he received a certificate in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law. He holds a B.S. in Healthcare Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas, where he also conducted chemical engineering research in semiconductor engineering, integrated circuit manufacturing, cleanroom photolithography, and neutron detector development.
