Background

William was born August 11, 1983, in Miami, Florida. William attended Miami Palmetto Senior High School and was named scholar-athlete of the year in his individual sport. William obtained his baccalaureate in business administration from Florida International University, where he graduated early with honors.

Training

In December, 2007, William received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, graduating early from the program. During law school William was designated a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) by the Florida Supreme Court. As a CLI, William represented low income families from the local community in all manners of immigration and education law. Additionally, William spent his 2L Summer as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Valerie Manno-Schurr in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Experience

Since graduating from law school, William has worked in private practice handling both corporate transactions and commercial litigation matters. When William joined Spiegel & Utrera he began in the corporate department, where he drafted and reviewed various agreements, including but not limited to Shareholder's Agreements, Operating Agreements, Commercial Leases, Buy-Sell Agreements, Stock Transfer Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements and Business Sales Agreements. Thereafter William began providing legal advice and strategic business advice to corporate clients through Spiegel & Utrera�s General Counsel Club.

William also worked in Spiegel and Utrera�s litigation department where he handled a plethora of litigation and transactional matters on retainers for corporate clients. Moreover, William�s litigation practice included breach of contract cases, employment discrimination cases, unjust enrichment cases and post judgment collection actions. In conjunction with local counsel, William also has worked on cases Pro Hac Vice in state and federal cases in various jurisdictions within the United States. William has now returned to Spiegel & Utrera's corporate department, where his practice focuses on corporate transactions and business agreements.
