Background and Experience

Mr. Spigner was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in the surrounding area. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Florida International University in 2011, majoring in International Relations, with concentrations in National Security Studies, and Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies. Subsequently, Mr. Spigner attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2016.

During his studies, Mr. Spigner gained experience in a variety of fields. Mr. Spigner traveled across the country competing in several national and local competitions as a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society, as well as the Moot Court Honor Society. In 2015 he served as a mediator in San Diego County Small Claims Court.

After taking the California Bar Exam, Mr. Spigner served as a Post Bar Law Clerk for Criminal Defense Attorney Marc S. Kohnen in San Diego, CA. As a Post Bar Law Clerk Mr. Spigner sat second chair in a high profile case involving laws enforcement’s excessive use of force covered by local and national media, wherein a not guilty verdict was ultimately entered.

Mr. Spigner has been with Spiegel & Utrera since 2017, and his practice is primarily focused on assisting entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small to medium sized business in all areas of business law including, but not limited to: Contracts, Corporate Law; Commercial Real Estate; Consumer Protection; Competition Law; Uniform Commercial Code; Securities Law, Intellectual Property, Secured Transactions, Commercial Paper, Asset Protection; Wage and Labor Law; Administrative Law; Workers Compensation; Prevailing Wage; Private Stock Offerings; Financial Transactions; Arbitration; Mediation; and, Litigation.
